Light above, a bright star shines
Guiding travelers near
Songs of praise, the angels sing
The Shepherds quake in fear
Light and Life, a babe to bring
Love beyond compare
Simple bands to swaddle one
A burden soon to bear.
Years have past as time reflects
Change we all can see;
Still we seek His healing hand
While down on bended knee.
Glory soon to touch the Earth;
Wipe away all tears:
Babe to Lamb, Immanuel
