God is our Father who gives gracious gifts:
One stunning star staging light
Came as no other to all who could see.
It came as a gift in the night.

God sent his angels to urge shepherds there,
Singing sweet chords of true peace.
Messaging “Fear not” to those who would hear
Relayed words which never will cease.

God sent a Baby, his first spirit Son,
Down from his heaven above.
This Christmas Gift was his greatest of all:
He sacrificed pure living Love.

God’s Christmas gift came to us on that morn,
Meant to be loved and to lift.
Jesus, this new Babe who filled Mary’s arms,
Was Father’s supreme Christmas gift.

Jesus, our Savior, our true (best) Christmas gift,
Was born so we always will live.
