Hope is like the sun as journeying goes forth,
Casting shadows of despair behind our honest worth.
Hope befriends us in our darkest times of gloom,
Lending purpose to the past while vows of promise loom.

Hope wipes tears away, eliminating fear.
Miracles can come to all when (as) our dear Savior nears.
Hope excites in us our brightest hours of light,
Tempering life’s troubles for our growth and strength and might.

Hope embraces trust for future verities;
Acting in the present gives assurance one will see.
Hope is true belief from faith in God above,
Knowing there’s a better world, still filled with God’s sure love.

Hope is like the sun as we proceed ahead,
Casting doubt behind our backs, and knowing we are led.
Hope feels like the sun that shines from God’s pure face,
Leaving traces of our trust in his most sacred place.
