An original hymn with text by Mark Fotheringham below.  Watch on YouTube: Turning the Hearts

Turning the hearts

Of children unto their fathers,

Welding the links of families to last evermore.

A Book of Remembrance to give to the Lord

When He comes again to the earth.

And as the hearts of the fathers are turned to their children,

Both heavens and earth rejoice.

We can be saviors in Zion by bringing our fathers

Into the House of The Lord.

We’ll do the work

To bless all of our dear fathers,

Standing inside the temples in proxy to serve.

Their names we’ve discovered but now they need more:

The ordinances of the Lord.

We without them can’t be perfect, nor can they without us

Together we’ll touch the stars.

Don’t let the prisoners languish another day longer

Serve now to open the doors.

Temples of God,

Now spreading across the nations,

Strengthen thy covenant people to reach out and serve.

Then while we are living and loving thy Word,

We’ll bless the departed in faith.

And with our washings, anointings, baptisms and sealings,

We’ll gather our family tree.

Forging a chain of relation to reach back to heaven;

Families eternally bound.
