What matchless love is here manifest.
God sent His Son, all mankind to bless.
He taught of love, ‘mid trouble and strife.
He is the Way, The Truth and the Life.
Gethsemane, a garden divine;
There Christ atoned for your sins and mine.
No man can know His suffering sore.
Agony’s press drew blood from each pore.
Jesus the Christ, who hung on the cross,
He saved us all; He counted no cost.
He, having tread the wine press alone,
Victory won, He lives on enthroned.
“Thy will be done” and “Father forgive.”
These words were His, to teach how to live.
Help us recall His beautiful choice.
