An original hymn with text by Kathryn Hales below.  Watch on YouTube: The Servants of God

Apostles at a pulpit, facing an audience vast,

Known as a General Authorities,

In the Kingdom of God here on earth do they serve,

Broad use of their priesthood keys.

They say, ”We’re not so different, my brothers,

Though your boundaries are not so wide,

We both seek the Spirit to direct the Lord’s work,

And in His eternal glory abide.

“For a few hours at Conference, you focus on us,

As we seek to impart God’s wondrous word,

But do you know, how we continually think

And pray for you unto the Lord?

“Dear brothers, let us go forward in faith with our might

When He asks, “Whom shall I send?”,

That our love may increase, till our joy is full,

In bringing souls unto the Savior of men.

“Together we stand in our faith in His work,

My sphere just larger than yours,

That the Kingdom may grow to fill the whole earth

And receive all the Lord has in store.

“So side by side, so to speak, we labor for Him,

Bringing light, truth, and knowledge to men

If they’ll but receive it in hearts that are right,

Prepared for Christ’s reign to begin.”
