If I could be a shepherd, I would have a flock—

Sheep that listened to my voice whenever I would talk.

I would keep them safe all night, safe from wild prey.

I would love them ev’ry day, and by them I would stay.

But since I’m not a shepherd, there’s another plan.

Jesus is my Shepherd now and I can be His lamb.

I will listen to His voice, following His ways.

He will keep me safe at night and ev’ry single day.

I can be my Savior’s lamb;

I will always give Him heed.

I will stay right by His side

and follow where He leads.

I’ll follow where He leads.
