Great shall be rewards in heav’n as we walk God’s ways,

Step by step, with ev’ry breath, climbing far each day.

Though our path is strewn with weeds, and our vision skewed,

Footprints on the trail provide longing to pursue.

Great shall be rewards in heav’n as our Savior said:

Ye shall have great joy and be so extremely glad.

Follow me and I will bless ev’ry single day.

Heed my words and do my will; I will show the way.

Great shall be rewards in heav’n from God’s promised hand.

As we seek his mind and heart, His true word will stand.

Meeting God on heaven’s mount, up the steep terrain,

Gives us light to glorify God in sweet refrains.

Blessed are the earnest ones seeking God’s sweet face.

Blessed are the fervent ones sharing sacred space.

Blessed are the ones who climb and the Savior meet.

Great shall be rewards in heav’n: God’s pure love to keep.
